Our Programs
We use capacity development and strengthening, as the core approach in implementing our programs in leadership, livelihoods, health, justice, and with youth.
As we partner with the widows, we learn from each other on effective and meaningful ways of helping widows feel connected, confident and competent to lead positive social changes in their lives and in the lives of their communities. Our widows are organized into leadership circles (widow-to-widow support groups) which are our unit of implementation.
Our leadership programs develop the confidence and skills of widows to lead positive social transformation in their communities.
Our livelihoods programs seek to improve food security and support the widows’ efforts to grow sustainable businesses.
Our wellbeing programs support the widows’ mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical health based on the widows’ ideas and needs.
Our advocacy programs use storytelling, research, and advocacy to raise awareness on widowhood issues at the local, national, and global level.
Our youth programs support the widow's children in talent and skills development, peer and career mentorship, mental health counseling, and fun exploration.
